Painting I Final Project - 20th Century Artists

HOW TO USE THIS SECTION

As an aid to helping you choose a 20th century artist for your final project, a list of artists is provided at right. Samples of their work can be found on this and other CCC pages. To see additional examples of an artist's work or style of art, click on an underlined name.

Once you have selected an artist, go to the Painting I bibliography pages A-F, G-O, or P-Z to find a list of books about your artist. Additional book titles and information can be found by referring to an on-line book seller such as Amazon, or to the web site of a college library. Some regional art school libraries are PAFA, UArts, and the Pratt Institute. These books can be obtained through your college or local library, either from the stacks or by request. Be certain to make your selection early; it can take several weeks to obtain a book if it must be ordered for you through the interlibrary loan service.
